Museum artifacts are physical reminders of another time: they provide evidence of past technology, lifestyle, and design. The Burnaby Village Museum has over 50,000 artifacts in its collection, ranging from items as small as a sewing needle to items as large as buildings, cars, and an interurban tram.

The collection focuses on items related to the history of Burnaby, but also includes a large collection of objects from the 1920s, which are used in the heritage village exhibits. The museum’s collections provide material examples of Burnaby’s unique history for research and exhibition. A teaching collection provides hands-on opportunities for visitors to interact with the past.

A sample of items from the collection related to the city’s history has been provided on the Heritage Burnaby website but additional items will be uploaded over time. More information about the collection can be provided by the museum’s curatorial staff.
